Ruby Agrawal — Owner & Administrator, CareWorks Houston
Meet Ruby Agrawal — The Person Behind CareWorks
Ruby Agrawal acquired CareWorks Houston after personally caring for her own mother, who was bedridden for several years following a severe hip fracture and repeat surgeries. That experience changed how she thought about care — not as a service, but as an act of trust between families and the people they invite into their homes.
With over 25 years of management experience and more than three decades as a Houston resident, after acquiring the agency in 2019, Ruby expanded CareWorks’ reach further across Fort Bend County — deepening roots in Sugar Land, Katy, Missouri City, and Richmond while growing the caregiver network to serve 14+ communities. She is actively involved in day-to-day operations and client satisfaction — not as an absentee owner, but as someone who answers when families call.
Her approach is grounded in a simple belief: the families who trust CareWorks with their loved ones deserve the same care and attention she would want for her own family. That principle shapes every hiring decision, every caregiver match, and every check-in call.
“The best care starts with respect — then follows through with reliability, safety, and kindness. I built CareWorks so Houston families could find that without having to search for it.” — Ruby Agrawal, Owner & Administrator
Families across Sugar Land, Katy, Pearland, Cypress, and 14+ Houston communities have trusted CareWorks for everything from post-hospital recovery support to long-term daily care. Today, CareWorks connects families with vetted caregivers through both the local agency and through the digital caregiver platform at careworks.biz.
Care that feels personal — because it is.
Nearly two decades of trusted home care in Greater Houston — built one family at a time.
CareWorks was founded in Houston in 2006 with a simple mission: give families across Greater Houston access to compassionate, reliable home care — care that treats your loved one with the same dignity you would bring if you could be there every hour of every day.
In those early years, we built our reputation one family at a time — earning trust through consistency, warmth, and genuine attention to each person’s individual needs and routines. In 2019, we relocated our headquarters to Sugar Land, planting deeper roots in Fort Bend County and expanding our reach across Katy, Pearland, Cypress, and Missouri City.
Today, CareWorks Houston is one of the area’s most recognized home care networks — connecting families with vetted caregivers through both our local agency and our digital caregiver platform at careworks.biz.
Started with a small team of five dedicated caregivers serving the Cypress and Spring areas of northwest Houston.
Launched our first Alzheimer’s & dementia care training program, expanding specialized memory care services across Greater Houston.
Relocated headquarters to Sugar Land — deepening roots in Fort Bend County and expanding across Katy, Pearland, Cypress, and Missouri City.
Launched the digital caregiver platform connecting Houston families directly with vetted, independent caregiving professionals.
Still growing — guided by the same values we started with nearly 20 years ago. Medicaid PHC, FC, and CAS accepted.

What guides our care
Every decision we make — from how we hire caregivers to how we handle a scheduling change — comes back to four principles that have guided CareWorks since 2006.
We support personal care and daily routines with respect, patience, and privacy. Every client is treated as an individual, not a task list.
Consistent caregivers, clear care plans, and a steady focus on fall prevention, home comfort, and timely medical awareness.
We keep loved ones informed and involved. Families deserve to feel confident, not anxious, about the care their loved one is receiving.
Care plans adapt to changing needs — whether you need short-term recovery support or long-term ongoing assistance. We adjust as life changes.
A simple process that brings peace of mind
From your first call to a caregiver in your home — we keep the process clear, fast, and personal.
We learn about needs, routines, and safety concerns — in your Houston-area home, at no charge. Medicaid eligibility confirmed if applicable.
Schedule, tasks, and preferences clearly outlined — hourly, overnight, or ongoing care. Medicaid CAS assistance included for eligible families.
Skills, personality, language, and schedule — all considered before introduction. Browse profiles at careworks.biz before anyone enters your home.
Often same-week. Clear next steps, responsive coordination. Hospital discharges prioritized — care often placed within 24–48 hours.
Ongoing communication, monthly care plan reviews, and adjustments as needs change. You can reach a real coordinator — not a call center.
The best care starts with respect — then follows through with reliability, safety, and kindness.
